Прославленное кузовное ателье Zagato создало свой проект по мотивам Masearti 450S 1957 года, построенной по просьбе легендарного пилота «Формулы-1» Стирлинга Мосса для суточного марафона «24 часа Ле-Мана». «Монстром» машину прозвали за выдающуюся, по тем временам, мощность мотора.

Новый Zagato Mostro получил 4,2-литровый двигатель Maserati мощностью 420 л. с., который через шестиступенчатую секвентальную трансмиссию приводит в движении 1000 килограммовый спорткар с полностью карбоновым кузовом.

Автомобиль будет выпущен тиражом в пять экземпляров и все машины уже раскуплены коллекционерами – покупатели получат машины до конца 2015 года. Zagato Mostro создан для гоночных трасс, однако создатели не исключают возможности сертификации своего детища и для эксплуатации на дорогах общего пользования.
